Thank you for expressing interest in having this feature brought to the U.K. I'll ensure this feedback gets sent to our development team. You can also use your Alexa app to submit feedback for any additional feature requests you may have.
We cannot speculate regarding if/when a feature may be implemented.
An Amazon employee at the developer forums said back in January that custom lists would be coming to the UK in a couple of months. Now, four months later, "if/when" suggests that it is not even certain whether we will every get this feature here.
You say "lie", I say "best guess based on information available."
I am sure you would not like to be called a liar - I certainly would not. I therefore find your post calling someone in the Amazon support team a liar somewhat harsh bordering on rude and insulting. Unless, of course, you can prove the individual ignored all information then available and deliberately lied to you, in which case I would welcome reading the proof you have.
just because you can be rude, ignorant and arrogant on a forum does not mean you can ignore the forum rules or basic common decency. I'm sure you would hate to be called a liar. Please reconsider. CW
Sorry, I was a bit harsh in my original post (I've edited it now). I'm not usually in the habit of calling anybody a liar (not even on internet forums).
This is a bit annoying. I do a lot of travelling and wanted to use Alexa to create a packing list - as I think of something to add I could just tell A to put it on the list. This is the second thing I thought she would do which I now find is only available across the pond!
And find out about GDPR which will make you rather less agitated. This applies to all vendors of such systems. Until they get permission Amazon, as an example, could face a $7 billion fine. You may have heard about Google finding out that the EU means business.
you may not be aware that US privacy laws are...well...not very private
Definitely needed, won't be buying any more devices until this is rolled out in the UK!
If a device does not have the features that you want, why would you buy it? If a competitor company has a superior device - then buy that one. I am really not sure why people are tieing themselves into knots about this.
Perhaps send your feedback/requests directly to Amazon as well as posting here, remembering that these pages are customer-to-customer forums.
