I've installed 2 Amazon Spots at my mother's house to enable us to talk to her without her having to pick up a phone.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to access either Spot from my iPhone, and chose which to use.
I'd also like my brother to have the same facility.
Both Spots are on my Mum's account. Both are set up to allow Drop-in. Each Spot has a different name.
The first one I set up works fine. I can go to conversations on the app and it offers me the option to Drop-in on the first device. I can then see, hear and talk to Mum - provided she's in that room. Brilliant.
However the second one might as well not be there. I can't see any way to access the second device, let alone connect to it.
Is it me, or is it a "feature". I see loads of comments about using the Spots as intercoms, or connecting directly with my "home" devices from my phone, but I just can't work it out for the case of an "outside" call to a contact with more than one device.
Trouble is, I'm now 400 miles away from these devices! (Although I obviously have access to my own account and to Mum's.)
Any hints welcome - even if it seems obvious to you!
If it's not possible from the App on a phone, would I be able to do it from another Spot at home?
At this time, you can not specify a device for Drop In on another account - you can only request a specific device for those registered to your own account. You are not the first to bring it up here on the forums, and I encourage you to leave feedback about how this feature would help you in your Alexa app!
