Is there any way to stream my personal music collection to my Echo? This was the main reason I bought one. All my music is currently loaded in to iTunes and Amazon Music.
I did see a 3rd party app and Alexa skill, but I'd really rather not go down that avenue.
Currently a 3rd party app for iTunes is the only way to stream that personal collection, in Amazon Music though your purchased music should be readily accessible with no problems! Just ask Alexa to queue a song from your purchased music to play. Let me know if this works as expected for you!
Also, welcome to the digital and device forums! Usually a peer or fellow customer has an amazing answer on here for any and all kinds of issues, so you're certainly in the right place for advice and guidance!

Thanks for the fast response. I've had a look at the iTunes plugin, but I'm not really wanting to install another piece of software from another company just to get this to work. I checked the bluetooth options too, and those seem to invalidate the point of having an Alexa device.
So at this point then the Echo is not for me. I don't want to have to have multiple streaming accounts, or mes about with more 3rd party software just to listen to the music I already own. Back it goes.
Hi, I use Bluetooth on both my iPad and PC to do this with no problems.
I know I can use Bluetooth, but by doing that you are bypassing Alexa. Plus my collection is mainly on my desktop PC which is in a different room, so bluetooth is not an option there.
It's a bit disappointing that the PC Amazon Music app doesn't have this feature. I mean, it took five minutes to find a guide on how to set up a Raspberry Pi to work as an Airplay device, giving me the same options as bluetoothing to an Echo with the advantage of using my home network rather than bluetooth.
Anyway, I've returned the Echo. Doubtless it'll be on sale again around Christmas, so I'll see if it meets my needs then.
