I bought an Echo Dot a few days ago but am having some issues.
I have set it up via the app, entered my amazon details etc but it doesn't appear on my amazon account online?
Also, I've taken up the offer of the 3 month amazon music subscription for 99p but again this isn't working on my Echo? When I ask to open amazon music it says I need to register, yet the amazon music subscription is on my amazon account?!?
I'm just getting so confused lol Have spoken to live chat and they just keep telling me to reset echo and re-register, which I have done twice.
If you bought it from Amazon and you did not mark it as a gift it should have come pre-registered to the account you bought it with and appeared in "content and devices" even before you received it.
When you got it all that should have been needed was to register it to your Internet.
As it is not there have you managed to accidentally set up a new account so you are looking at the wrong one. Again assuming you bought it from Amazon look in your orders to make sure you are on the right account.
When login on or registering Amazon assumes whatever you type is correct and what you meant to do. Billions of times excited customers get it a bit wrong. the usual problem is a single fat finger oops or an auto-complete booboo.

(a perfect example of fat furry paws AND a helpful spellchecker that is NOT helping!)
Autocomplete (I guess 60% of the problem)
