Echo Input connected to my Denon CEOL shelf system via 3.5mm jack - NO SOUND, PLEASE HELP!
Input/Alexa is verified receiving voice commands but no audible sounds/replies coming through shelf speakers connected to system (Input lights up Blue/Cyan as indicated)
I have verified that both devices powered "ON"
Denon is set to correct Input Source - "AUX INPUT:Analog In" (3.5mm Headphone Jack)
I have verified Echo Input is connected to Wi-Fi
I have used supplied 3.5mm jack chord and even tried alternate one that I own
I have increased the volume of Echo/Input to "10" using voice command
I increased volume of shelf system to 'max' due to reported Input sound/volume inconsistencies (This is a very high output Hi-Fi shelf system) - no sound at all audible.
My Alexa app on phone verifies that the Input is connected and set-up is complete
I even tried to reset INPUT and went through setup process again with same results.
I DO NOT have a Bluetooth option available on my Denon (that is why I purchased the Echo INPUT for 3.5mm option)
I have exhausted all options that I could search on the INPUT product page (reviews/questions) and here in threads. There is very little info on troubleshooting this issue. I am wondering if this is device specific issue with this Denon model or if I have a defective Echo INPUT? Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
The 3 solutions seem to be RESET / RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULTS / CHECK YOUR REGION. What was the question again? 14 (Yes 14!) accounts supporting my posts for accuracy and help! The ONLY Wombat given a biscuit for great advice! Woohoo!
Try to eliminate/narrow if the problem is with the Denon CEOL or the ECHO input.
1. I would try to connect my phone (or other MP3 player with 3.5mm jack) to the Denon and see if you get sound, it it works then you know the Denon receiver is OK, if not then the problem is with the Denon.
2. Connect the ECHO input to another speaker to see if it works (using 3.5mm cable), if that works OK then you know the ECHO is OK, if not contact Amazon Support for a replacement.
PS: when testing, you can ask alexa to do a sound test, just say "Alexa Sound Test"
PPS: I have my Echo Input connected via 3.5mm jack to an A-Bus system. I found the 3.5mm analogue was more reliable than bluetooth and easier to setup.
