I have four echo devices around my home, all connected to external speakers via Bluetooth. In our bedroom, we have a 2nd gen Echo Show, which I would say is our primary device as we play lullabies overnight on for our babies.
However, I have an issue where, for example, whilst stood next to the bedroom device I ask Alexa to play music/lullabies etc, but it starts playing the music on the kitchen device.
It happens the other way around, where asking Alexa to play music on the kitchen device will result in Alexa playing on the bedroom ot lounge devices. Rarely does my request to play music result in it playing on the device I am asking on.
All I want is for alexa to play on the device I am requesting on. I would have thought that this would be the default position but clearly not.
Any help and advice you can give, maybe on settings I can change to achieve this will be greatly appreciated
I have yet to set up multi room music for the devices I have, so not sure if it's that.
You say the default is what I want, but sadly it isn't. I cannot understand how or why the music just doesn't play on the device I am speaking to. Is there a setting which can stop this from happening?
