I have an issue with my Alexa devices and Spotify, in that it cant find some playlists, or will not play a playlist, instead it just does one song. I've seen this on a few forums but no exact match to my issue, nor a resolution.
This may be a Spotify issue, however if i use Google Assistant (Android Auto) in my car, it can find them no problems
So we have a family spotify account, which give 5 users premium access - 1 for me, my wife, the "house" (which is the one Alexa is linked to) and 2 spare, for my kids when i can sort it
The idea was the house has its own, so i dont stop the music in my car when im on he road, or vise versa, etc
So, if i now ask Alexa "play the big little lies soundtrack" it will play the one track, from TV themes - which can be found easily on Spotify. If i search on Spotify manually on a phone, i can find it no problems. I've tried matching the exact wording of the playlist, asking it to shuffle, i've removed and re-added my Spotify account to Alexa!
This is just one example though. It also cannot find "Kids TV Theme Tunes" playlist, although again i can on a phone
Regions for Spotify and Alexa are both set to UK
Please could somebody help me out with a solution to this. If Alexa cant find public playlists on Spotify, then there isn't any point in it for me as that is the main reason we have it

Welcome to the Amazon Digital and Device Forum!
Here are a few things to double check (I know some of these you already have):
Check for device compatibility, refer customer to the Alexa App. Menu > Settings > Music & Media.
You have a Spotify Premium subscription (available at Spotify Premium).
You have the latest version of the Spotify app.
You link your Spotify Premium account to your Amazon account in the Alexa app.
You sign in to the same Spotify Premium account on your mobile device and Alexa device.
4. Select your device from the list. The song begins streaming on your device, and you can then use the Spotify app to control playback. You can also use your voice.
After you pair your device and the Spotify app, you can ask Alexa to switch between listening on your mobile device and your device by saying, "Play Spotify." This feature only supports music in Spotify's catalog. You can't stream music stored offline in the Spotify app through your device.
Everything is ok thats mentioned above. My phone uses a different Spotify account, as mentioned i have setup one for the house which is a premium account under our family subscription. If however i log into this house account on my phone, i can search and find the playlists without any issues. From here i can tell Spotify to play on the connecetd devices, any one of the 3 Alexa's in the house, which works fine.
However, once i use the voice functionality on Alexa, it cannot find the playlists at all. It can fine others. All of my playlists i have created myself will play without any issues. if i ask Alexa to play an artist, it will. If i ask it to play a random playlist, "summer BBQ" for example, it will play that too, it just seems it will not find some using the voice function of Alexa. this is quite annoying, as the reason we chose to have an Echo is so that we can just call on it to play whatever we want, anywhere in the house without having to mess around looking stuff up on our phone
I wonder if this is somehow confused with the way i have setup spotify for Alexa, in that it has its own account. This account isn't used on any phones, tablets etc, just solely for Alexa to use
Tonight i shall link my Spotify account to Alexa and see if it can then find the playlists and report back

Welcome to the Amazon Digital and Device Forum!
Here are a few things to double check (I know some of these you already have):
Once you have checked each one of these steps -
To use Spotify Connect:
1. Open the Spotify app and play a song.
2. Tap the Now Playing bar.
3. Tap "Devices Available."
Hope this helps!
