Ever since I have owned by Echo Plus Stereo Pair (and Echo Sub) I have been able to ask Alex to 'Spotify Connect' and then the stereo pair has been available in by 'devices' list in Spotify so can I push music to them from the Spotify App. All of a sudden, this week it has stopped working. When I ask Alexa to 'Spotify Connect' the stereo pair no longer appear in my Spotify devices tab. This is driving me mad! I have tried the obvious things (turning them off and on again, rebooting my rooter) but no joy. I also have a couple of Echo Dots in other parts of the house and the Spotify connect functionality still works fine.....it is just my stereo pair. I have even tried unpairing my echos and repairing them again but no joy.
Hi. Yes there stereo pair (and sub) works fine with the Alexa app, playing streams from TuneIn and I can even ask Alexa to play tracks from Spotify.......the only thing it no longer allows me to do is push music to it from the Spotify app (either on my iPhone or Mac). This worked fine until a few days ago!

Hi dazza, welcome to our Digital and Device Forum!
I am sorry this is happening. Try using Alexa on Desktop version here: Amazon Alexa, unlink Spotify and re-connect.
For some reason, I can now only 'Spotify Connect' via a Spotify App that is linked to the same Spotify Account as my Echo is. This was not the case last week as anyone who was on the same WiFi network in my house could connect to my Echo with their own Spotify account. I wonder why this has changed?
This only seems to be a problem with the Echo Stereo System......my Echo dots are not affected
You may need to reconsider what you want and what you are asking.
If you want your Alexa device to do something then it needs to be the prime interface. If your Apple devices/services are the prime interface then you will have the problems you detail.
I regret I am not competent to give you alternative settings.

Any ideas?
dazza8,
I think this is an issue you would need to take up with Spotify.
Am I correct that the stereo pair persists OK in the Alexa app and when playing streams from Amazon or TuneIn Radio streams?

Let me know if this works.
Hi - I have worked out what is going on :-)
For some reason, I can now only 'Spotify Connect' via a Spotify App that is linked to the same Spotify Account as my Echo is. This was not the case last week as anyone who was on the same WiFi network in my house could connect to my Echo with their own Spotify account. I wonder why this has changed?

I have this also..... was working fine til a few weeks back.
Take my phone anywhere else it finds their echo's and also finds my Echo upstairs fine BUT no Echo Stereo pair anymore.
Tried router resets.
All Devices off and back on.
De-registered all 3 (2 dots 3rd gen & sub) and reregistered them.
Repaired 2 dots and sub.
Alexa app will play to the 'Stereo Sub Pair' and if I just speak to Alexa it plays from Spotify OK just NOTHING on the list ever when I use the app.
Funnily enough if I open desktop Spotify App the 'Stereo Sub pair' appears and it plays OK.
When I then open the Iphone Spotify app the 'Stereo Sub Pair' is now there but it never appears unless I kick off the desktop app first.
