Can someone help me please?
Register the Echos in your Alexa app with device names such as "Kitchen" and "Bedroom". Then say to your Kitchen Echo "Alexa, Call <Bedroom>" this opens a channel between your two Echos that you can use in an intercom like way.

I've got both echo dots registered to my Alexa phone app.
I say "Alexa, call Living Room" from Kitchen, then it says "This is Living Room. I can only call devices from here." And then nothing happens.
The Living Room echo dot doesn't light up or make a sound either.
I don't know why it does that. Have I missed something?
What are the 2 Echo named under devices in your alexa app.
Establish which is which.. and call the other one from the one where you are at: "Alexa, Call <device name>"
Try reading the help pages.
Try saying “call kitchen” from the kitchen. If it works, you’ve got your Dots in the wrong rooms.
Or say Alexa announce and everyone gets what you are saying.
If I have helped you with an answer please click "Was this answer helpful" If not post and have a moan and I will try again if I can.
Believe nothing you hear and only half what you see.

The OP is trying to find out how to get their devices working as an intercom system and it seems as though the devices are named the wrong way around.
Announcements aren’t what the OP is looking to achieve.
