I received my sub woofer. VERY nice. Only issue is that once I pair it with my echo plus, the remote doesn't work consistently. I can use it to turn the echo on (request it to play Pandora Smooth Jazz Radio), but after that...nothing. Nothing on the remote works. Voice commands still work to the unit (not the microphone button on the remote). I unpaired it. I took the batteries out. Unplugged the echo plus, etc. This issues still persists.
I don't care if it is a 'feature' that will be corrected in the future. Just let me know so I stop trying to find out what I need to do.
If you are referring to the Alexa Voice Remote for Amazon Echo, then make sure you are using the steps below to pair it in the Alexa app - not via Bluetooth. If this is how you already had it setup, then choose the Forget Remote option in step 2.
1. Select the "Devices" icon. 2. Select your device, then select "Echo Remote." You may see "Forget Remote" in the Alexa app. This means that a remote is already paired with your Echo device. If you're replacing your remote, select "Forget Remote" before you pair a new remote with your device. 3. Press and hold the "Play/Pause" button for five seconds and then release. Your Echo device searches for your remote and connects to it within 40 seconds (or longer).
When your device discovers your remote, Alexa says, "Your remote has been paired."
I hope that helps! If you're using a different remote, let me know.
