Hi all, wow how hard is setting up amazon Alexa devices !
ok I have music unlimited family.
we have a dot downstairs, a show 5 in the bedroom, and just treated my child to a dot for doing well at school.
my child is under 13, responsible, not left alone. I just want him to be able to ask Alexa to play songs on his dot in his room while the other 2 devices are in use.
i thought by having music unlimited family we would be able to do this, but I apparently need to ‘invite’ family by email ? Obviously my child doesn’t have email.
i know this service is meant to be for children over 13 but as a responsible parent I would like my child to be able to play his own music.
can anybody suggest what I need to do please ? (In simple instructions please lol) thanks in advance
If you don't want him to have access to an email address, why not set up an email on his behalf, and then accept the invite (on his behalf)? As responsible as he may be, how are you planning to screen or monitor the content of music he'll be requesting?
some parents don't screen/monitor all music. books or movies their child views. Mine didn't. My mother even told the librarians, when I was 12 yo, that I could have access to any adult book I wanted to check out.
Tbf he’s that young he only know songs that me or his mum play, he probably will only ask for 5 songs total atm. I will also use the parental control. In all honesty I would be more worried about a teenager than my son getting up to no good lol.
if I use my account we can’t both listen to music on our own devices at the same time. I can’t believe how hard amazon have made everything, they need to take a leaf out of apples book imo but that’s another discussion.
