According the Alexa app, the firmware installed on the Echo is 637566920.
According to the Amazon UK help pages, the latest firmware for the 2nd generation Echo is 641574720.
Therefore it would seem that my Echo does not have the latest firmware update. I asked my Echo to check latest software update, which she checks and then announces there is no update available. Hmmmm.
I have tried to manually force an update by rebooting the device, and using the method of muting the device for over half hour (one hour so far), which is supposed to force an update. So far nothing has happened.
Is anybody experiencing the same problem? If so, did you manage to remedy it?
For further information I also have a 3rd generation Echo Dot and its firmware (according to the Alexa app and Amazon website) is correct. The Echo is connected to the same wifi hub as the Dot.
