I have a new echo, it wont connect to the wifi on the app or comptuer. On the app i connect to the amazon wifi, when i return to the app it doesn't go past the set up page, when i do it on the computer it says error. I've restarted the wifi, reset the echo setting, installed and uninstalled the app, moved closer to the mode, no luck
Because of another issue I factory reset the dot then used the latest Android Alexa App to set up from scratch as it tells you to do.
The app gives the option of gen 3 or gen 1&2 set up. When I used gen 1&2 set up it asks to manually set up WiFi then go back to App set up which, I did. Set up won't go any further than the manual WiFi set up, continuous orange spinning light.
So after pulling my hair out I decided to try the gen 3 set up button and hey presto Alexa gen 2 is fully operational again after a reboot.
I had switched off all WiFi and Bluetooth devices such as my TV during setup which may have helped? I think the App may have issues?
