Just received my Echo Connect, Prime Day purchase, I've now spent >3hrs trying to get it online.... it's driving me crazy.
It says it's connect to the wifi during the setup process, then the light goes out and you have to start again... aarrgghhh!
I'm connecting to a standard Virgin Media hub (router), I have a number of other devices connected incl two other echo devices, Philips Hue lights, Smart plugs, Sonos speakers etc without issue. I actually added a Echo dot gen3 yesterday without an issue (another prime day purchase)
Does anyone have any setup advice? Anything I haven't thought of?
Power is on, wifi & internet lights go solid for a while, phone light is flashing.
now I only have a solid power light, and a flashing phone light, the wifi & internet lights are out.
I found the answer myself with a little YouTube search.... don't plug in the phone line, only the power, then do the setup as a normal Echo, rather than an echo connect.... it worked first time.... my thanks to Pascal Berger on YouTube https://youtu.be/OBrZrS7lkis
