I guess they are still road testing it in the US e.g. housing density does a neighbour’s alarm or them throwing out glass trigger the alarm. Generally, housing density is far greater here than in the US.
Or.. could be so useful.. I don't know how it works but as its always listening (and looking in the case of the show and spot) it would be great to have an alert if something was spotted moving in the camera, or voices or sound was heard.
But.. typically here we are again.. USA only. We had to wait a very long time for followup mode to make its way here... so I can only imagine this will be a major delay for us in the UK too.
Why not test it on a smaller market then, like the UK? Aren't most of the Alexa developers here in the UK as well? Seems a shame that the UK market has to wait for so long, and if skills aren't production ready, surely a beta group or beta features toggle would be better than just releasing to probably their largest market as test?
