I have spent more than 3 hours online and on the phone to Amazon support. I have 5 echo devices at home, and all have been working great. But now, just one of the devices (the original one that I had, the 1st gen Echo), won't read any Audible audiobooks, and won't play BBC Radio 2 or BBC Radio 4.
When I attempt to play an audiobook, it starts by saying "Getting your book from Audible". It then repeats the title of the book and tells me how long I have left in the chapter and the book, and then it goes silent for a period before saying "Sorry, I'm having trouble playing your book" (or similar).
Likewise, when I attempt to listen Radio 2 or Radio 4, the device says "Now playing Radio 2 on TuneIn" or "Radio 2 on BBC Sounds" then goes silent.
The device is on the same Wi-Fi network as all other Echo devices. During my mammoth talk with Amazon support (4 people over 3 hours), I was asked to unplug and reconnect the device on multiple occassions. I was asked to Factory Reset it twice and re-set it up. I was asked to register and re-register the device. I did ALL of these steps (I work in IT and know just how infuriating it is when people say they've done it, but haven't) but nothing has fixed the issue.
Other stations from TuneIn play just fine, and audible audiobooks, BBC R2 and BBC R4 play fine on my Echo Dots and my Echo Plus - it's just this one device causing me a headache.
