My friend is completely disabled and has only the use of his voice. He has a number of Echo/Alexa devices which are very useful to him. He recently bought the Fire TV stick but is unable to use the voice remote as it requires physically holding down a button to activate voice control. We understand that his other Alexa devices should be able to activate and control the Fire TV stick but are unable to get any to pair. What is the process please?

I'm not sure how at this time.
However I have seen a press announcement about being able to voice control fire tv.
I assume this is a US only update but hope it will quickly come to our poor shores.
I assume you have tried all the "turn off then on again", "reset your Echo", stuff.
It's worth a try.
I've managed to link his FireTV & Echo Show, but when we ask Alexa to eg show "The Good Place" it comes up on the Echo Show & not his TV.
Bizarre!!
