Does the signal REPORT actually impact on the performance? I can get many different reports for service around the estate depending upon what devices I am using at the time - generally only "zero service" is relevant.

I have a Kindle fire 10" and have great trouble getting a decent internet signal in the next room to my wi-fi router. All I ever get is Fair.
I do not have any trouble with Wi-Fi on my Samsung tablets or an old Hudl in this same room.
Does anyone have any idea please as this tablet is driving me mad.......
If wifi worked like that then there is a possible concern. As it does not it matters not a jot.
wifi, like all digital signals, works...or it doesn’t. “Signal strength”, a manufacturer defined random number, is a very big sop to the consumer to make them feel good about something.. It is completely meaningless. If your device works. It works. Why give a hoot about a fictitious “signal” indicator.
It is handy to know that each thing you connect to your wifi is a unique connection. It has no relation whatsover to anything else connected.
Yes the signal does reflect on what sites I am able to get onto. I even have trouble at times getting onto the Amazon site. Using the amazon Fire is so bad that I have resorted to buying another Samsung Tablet which works just fine.
I just need to know why this is happening because at the present moment I would NEVER recommend to anyone to buy a Amazon Fire Tablet.
I have no problem using Samsung phone or tablets and am also able to use a really old Hudl tablet. This just seems a mystery!
