When I access Alex on the tablets, and from the menu select:
" Music,Video & Books" and then from the drop down list select: "Audible" this message appears:
"Books not available."
"Audible streaming isn't currently supported using the selected device.
This means I am unable to see my books with the Alex App and I am unable to play them within the Alex a platform on the tablets.
I am able to access them on my Echo.
I have been unable to find a resolution.
Oddly I was able to access and play my books on my small Fire until I used the tab to change to the Fire10 option. Now I have the same issue for both tablets.
The fact that I could access the books on the small tablet clearly means it is possible. Plus if the Alex menu gives you the option of should logically work.
Can anyone give me a resolution please.
I'm so very sorry the Alexa app is behaving unexpectedly! I just have a few questions so we can pinpoint the exact issue. Other than using the Alexa App to listen to your Audible books, what happens if you use the Audible app? May I also ask are you able to successfully achieve playback by asking your Echo "Alexa play (book title) from Audible"? I would also double check that your Fire's are both updated and you can also try this:
Put the Fire on the charger for half an hour to two hours. Then, try pressing and holding the Power button for 40 slow seconds, release it for 3 seconds, then press it again to try to start your Fire.
Thank you in advance for your answers and welcome to the digital and device forums! Usually a peer or fellow customer has an amazing answer on here for any and all kinds of issues, so you're certainly in the right place for advice and guidance!
