Hi all, has anyone else had issues with Bluetooth headphones on their Fire HD 8 (7th gen) since the latest update? Before the update mine were absolutely fine, but as soon as it was complete it now sounds like they're constantly running interference / hissing. The steps I've tried to resolve it are:
- Restarting the tablet
- Un-pair / Re-pair the headphones (forgetting on device & headphones before retrying)
- Resetting the tablet
And finally testing the headphones on several other devices (ACER tablet / iPad / iPhone / Laptop) - all work absolutely fine / as expected.
This issue, along with the immortal 'Alexa devices' notification and JSON error for playlists in Amazon Music is really starting to make me regret buying the Amazon tablet :(
Do you have any other Bluetooth devices turned on and close to your Fire? If so, what happens if you turn them off?
Generally I think contacting customer service might be advisable, unless another user chimes in with a solution. You can do so by clicking Help on any Amazon website, then Need more help? -> Contact us.
Welcome to the forum and please let me know what happens!
Thanks for the reply - the issue persists at home, in the office, and also in the car (with no other devices). I did think of interference originally but couldn't track down anything that may cause it (and also had no issue prior to the previous update).
