Lately my kindle fire is getting very warm when I am using it. Much warmer than before and I also notice the battery IS running down in about an hour of use. Can anyone advise
Very simply - something may have stuck "turn on" such as a book download, some add or app add on or some other software.
It would be simple to do the "standard" 30 second reset (press and hold the On button for a full slow count of 30) This may clear any minor gremlin.
If that does not work try the simple "restore Factory Default" option available on every Fire device Home / Settings / Device / Restore Defaults.
Either of these simple "fixes" should/could cure any problem. You can also contact Amazon using the HELP option on most Amazon web pages - they will be able to help you person-2-person and, if necessary, offer you replacement options if your device is still under warranty.

The 3 solutions seem to be RESET / RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULTS / CHECK YOUR REGION. What was the question again?
