When l access the shop tab on the homepage an error message appears stating connection lost but the wi-fi signal is strong. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, ho did you fix it? Regards Andy
You can have a perfect wifi signal/service but your particular device may not be able to connect to it. Availability is not the same as access.
Depending on how often it happens I'd suggest:
- 30 second reset - press and hold the on button in the on possition for a full 30 seconds. does not wipe data or anything else. clears minor gremlins.
- Home / Settings / Wifi - find your wifi service and click "forget". Do the 30 second thing to clear all trash. Scan for wifi service. connect to wifi service. If you are unlucky you may need to do this regularly No idea why.
- If you have posh Sky / BT HUB smart hubs go to the Sky / BT help forums and search for "connecting a kindle to a smart hub" - you need to do something with their funny routers. takes moments and clears most connection problems.
