An advice item began Manage Your Devices under the Your Kindle Account section [on the PC, not the device itself] followed by Then under Registered Kindles, you’ll see a list of the device(s) you own. Under the Special Offers column, click the Edit link next to Subscribed and tick Unsubscribe.
My problem is I don't see a Your Kindle Account section on my Amazon account. I do see a Manage Your Devices in the Amazon account but under the device (I have a Fire 10 HD) it has a DE-REGISTER option but NOT 'Unsubscribe'. Clicking 'De-register' completely removes the device which I don't want to do.
Plaease anyone - where can I find the place to 'Unsubscribe' (and pay the required $$$) in order to disable the ads. Thanks in advance for any help. Robin J
that's an Unsubscribe from special offers and it only removes the ad from the lock screen and the small banner on the Home page. All other ads come from apps, the browser when using the internet and recommendations on various other tabs. There is no way to prevent those except for never purchasing free apps (paid apps usually do not have ads)
also, where are you located and which kindle store are you using? You can see your devices on most of them, but only the one you're registered to has the unsubscribe option and usually only if you're a resident of the country the Kindle Store is in. Do you see your books under Content? If you have some and you don't see them, then you're not looking on the correct site.
