Any one else find this: Kid asks for more time on his Kindle Fire for Kids. Log onto either the website (https://parents.amazon.co.uk/) or the phone app and change the time.
Nothing happens on his tablet.
I have waited up to ten minutes in case it is just a case of it taking a while but nothing happens. If it takes more than ten minutes then it is pointless anyway!
after you changed the information on the phone app or the website, did you then turn on wireless and sync on the Fire itself?
His tablet is connected to WiFi okay. Is there a sync setting on the tablet?
My bad (sort of)! When you make changes to settings on the tablet the settings page auto adjusts to if it is a weekday or a weekend. The app and website dashboard do not do that.
So, I was making changes for weekdays when if fact it was the weekend.
Yes, my fault but shoddy coding really. Consistency across a UI is a golden rule.
UPDATE: Whilst the shoddy coding comment above remains that is not the cause of the problem. It just doesn't work (or takes a very long time to sync).
