my kids two fire 7 tablets are no longer working when connected to my iPhones personal hotspot.
the tablets are up to date running 18.104.22.168 and my iPhone is running iOS13.1.2
ive reset my iPhones network settings and also increased the strength of my wpa key (this was after the problem started occurring).
the iPhone hotspot works fine when connected to a laptop etc. it’s just both the fire tablets which won’t work. They connect ok but get a “internet service not working” message.
I thiiiink I saw a note on the iOS13 upgrade that they’ve increased the security of the hotspots wpa authentication? Perhaps this is related to this issue? I only noticed the problem after upgrading the iOS13 and my wife’s iPhone is fine but she’s still on iOS12

Update 11/09/19: While we work to fully resolve the issue, please follow the workaround in comment #9.
I’m having the same issue with my 8th gen fire tablet. Updated iPhone XR last night and today my hotspot won’t work. It says no internet connection. But worked fine before I did the update. My Lenovo tab 10 connects fine. Seems to be an iPhone/amazon connection issue.
I’m having the same issue. Child’s tablet always has connected through my iPhone hot spot. Everything else which connected to the hot spot still does apart from my childs kindle fire now isn’t connecting properly.
what is the fix for this because without being able to connect it to a hot spot for travelling then it’s pointless him having it.
