I am travelling in Portugal in my motorhome and using my UK purchased 4K stick to watch TV. Amongst the applications I use is Smart IPTV, side loaded to the stick. I access streaming services using a Mifi device with a local Sim installed. Internet speeds are fast - in excess of 10 MBPS download. The problem I am suffering is an annoying flicker on the screen every couple of seconds. It does not affect the sound. I have tested the problem by using a different Wifi network, turning on a VPN, but it still persists. There is nothing wrong with the hardware as I have a satellite receiver connected to the Tv via the same HMDI port and when watching broadcast channels there is no sign of the problem.
Can anyone offer advice? The one thing I have not tried is to change my country of residence in my Amazon account as I am here in Portugal only for a few weeks. Many thanks for anticipated responses.
@Bob: I may well be totally wrong here, but I think that UK STICKS are only licenced to receive and play streamed digital content in the UK (and other country sticks only in those other countries.) If this is the case then you may be advised to not use your stick overseas.
If i am wrong then someone smarter will hopefully correct me and I'll offer my sincere apologies in advance.

I know it may be a bit late Bob but it may be due to screen settings on your stick. I presume you normally watch your stick at home and have it set up for your main tv. I'm also presuming that the tv you are using in your motor home is a different type i.e. portable! I had white flashes and even some coloured flashes on my main TV and after an internet search changed the screen settings and the flashing has completely stopped. You might try that as it's unlikely your motor home tv is of the same size and quality as your main home one. You might want to keep your VPN active when watching Smart IPTV too. Good luck.
