So bought a new (third) fire stick with the flashy new remote with the volume control on it. Plugged in etc etc and all looked good - watched a few Red Dwarf episodes and all good - tried to watch Umbrella Academy on Netflix and it buffers like mad (every 2 to 3 minutes), some times says it can't be downloaded, and then the picture quality drops to something like the old N64 graphics!
Put my old Fire Stick back in - works perfectly. Plugged new stick into another TV...... exactly the same problem. Have checked my wifi just in case - absolutely spot on, no issues. Is there a reason I am having problems with the new stick or have just been unlucky and got a dodgy one? Or is it because I may have bought a 4k one and don't need/want a 4k one?
Are you saying that this ONLY happens when connecting NETFLIX features? If so, have you raised a similar question with the Netflix people? There may be an iuncompatability or other issue already known by Amazon / Netflix.
You may want to go direct to the Amazon help team by using the HELP link - they will be aware of any known issues with compatability. The same may be true on the Netflix help site.
(*This is a customer-2-customer forum so we may not be the best resource for a known or new issue.)
Hope you find a sift/easy solution.

Thanks for that - never had an issue with any Amazon kit before so this is a first for me! It's not limited to Netflix - but that is where it's worst. I have a feeling it's something to do with the 4K bit....... but I'll see what Amazon say... thanks.
