I love my 4k firestick, but find the Alexa microphone really annoying as I can't get it to search the internet using Silk. Alexa generally fails to return what I want, so just want to be able to dictate my search direct into Silk

I am not familiar with posts, but I can't see an answer in this reply
The answer is: "please submit feedback requesting this facility."
If Amazon see enough interest they might implement it in the future.
