Yes, you can read MOBI files on your device. Your Kindle recognizes the following file types:
— Document Formats: Kindle (.AZW, .AZW1, .TPZ, .AZW3, .KFX), PDF (.PDF), Unprotected Mobipocket (.MOBI, .PRC), Text (.TXT)
Your Kindle can display PDF documents without losing the formatting of the original file and allow you to zoom in and scroll across PDF pages.
To read items purchased from the Kindle Store, you'll need to register your Kindle device to the Amazon.com account you used to buy them. Other files must have no Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection applied to be readable on your Kindle device. EPUB books are not supported.
