Recently I have noticed that the books are not synchronising between my Kindle Paperwhite and iPhone 7. This functionality used to work fine, I have not changed any settings and there would appear to be nothing in the menus that is preventing a sync from happening. Both devices are wifi enabled and they both download books, so must still be associated with my account. I am hoping that somebody might have some advice on how I can get the sync back.
Synchronization in this respect is where I am reading the same book on two devices; one at home and one 'on the go'. When I start up Kindle on either device, it used to say 'do you want to go to the furthest page read across all of your devices?'. That was very convenient as it saved me from having to manually search for where I had got to. Now, neither device asks that question and so I have to fast forward or jump to the point that I want to read from.
I have recently had the same problem, I have the Kindle App on my IPhone 7 and Ipad Pro, tried all the suggestions that have been mentioned, but still no synch. I then decided to delete and reinstall both Kindle Apps................the syncing is now working correctly.
