When I download a collection from the cloud to my new 2nd paperwhite the books contained in it don’t download. How do I do this? I have tried downloading the books contained in it separately and I then get the book listed within the collection and also displayed outside. If I then delete the one not in the collection it deletes the collection one as well. This doesn’t happen on my old paperwhite where the book is either in the collection or separate.
As I finish reading books I place them into my Collections so that only those books I haven't got around to reading are in my library. When I my old kindle paperwhite would no longer charge I downloaded books to my amazon fire while waiting for the release of the new kindle paperwhite gen 10.
I was (naively) expecting the setup on the new kindle to remain the same so completely freaked when ALL my books (1,000+) appeared in my library .
I have spent the last 2 months trying to put books back into my Collections …. unsuccessfully … as they continued to be displayed in my library … until today when I thought to read through the amazonforum and found the above instructions. Problem nearly sorted now as my Collection definitions are all downloaded (they have a star) … and I'm now working my way through filing everything I've read since my old kindle died.
Very clear and helpful instructions. Thank you once again …. I'm extremely grateful for your post.
