Hi, thought I would post here just in case you can give any help. I have been on with kindle support multiple times to no avail
I have a new kindle paperwhite 10th generation and the official amazon case for it. When you open the case, it still needs me to swipe to unlock, rather than waking up fully. Kindle support confirm tht it should wake up fully. Ie to the book I am reading
After 3 hours online, the advice was your case is faulty - so got a replacement from John Lewis today and the same problem still exists.
Kindle support today say I should get a case from them and try again and if the problem still exists, they will escalate the problem but I am not sure how another new case will change this. Any ideas appreciated before i return the kindle and case
Is it wrong having to swipe to open the kindle? When I open my new 10th gen. kindle case if it has been closed for a while it says waking up at the bottom of the screen and then asks me to swipe the screen to open. When I swipe, it is opened up at the place where I shut the kindle. I assumed this was normal !!!
Thanks. The official amazon case should open a kindle which does not have special offers to the book or home screen, rather than swipe to unlock.
good news, John Lewis replaced the kindle and after about 10 mins on with kindle support to get the special offers removed and it works! Either the original was faulty or was confused. But all looking good now. Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions
