Just finished my sample of An American Outlaw by John Stonehouse on my iPad. But surprised that there is no ‘Buy now’ option. What’s up? Seems that I’ll have to go to the Store again to buy it. And then find my place...
@Terry: Perhaps it is because you are using an iPad platform? As you know, you have to go through safari to buy books from the Amazon store due to Amazon/Apple failing to reach sales term agreement.
As far as I am aware the option still exists for cloud/Amazon platforms.

you cannot purchase items using the Kindle app on an iPad, you have to use a browser. This is because Apple demands a 30% "purchase fee" for using an app from their store to purchase items. As Amazon's profit is often 30% or less, it makes no sense to allow this. NetFlix has also followed suit by not allowing purchases through their app:
and, if you read the article I linked other companies are starting to fight back against Apple's policies
And Amazon’s and Google’s policies which are identical. It’s not just Apple, which has become a handy whipping boy, that has this business model. After all, credit cards have done this since their invention.
