I have been trying, for a number of weeks, to deregister my old kindle as someone else now has it. The site constantly gives a message of 'a problem has been encountered, please try again'.
I have had to remove my card details from the system as this is obviously linked to both my new Kindle and my old one.
Has anyone else experienced this and how do I get the old Kindle deregistered?
If you can't deregister it from "content and devices" take a note of the serial number and contact Amazon, there is a link in my signature and ask if they will deregister it.
Make it very clear what you want then to do so they don't think it is stolen and you want it blocked.
If it cannot be seen in content and devices then in all probability the new owner has deregistered it using the kindle.
For future reference never get rid of a Kindle device before either deregistering it or better still doing a factory reset.

Believe nothing you hear and only half what you see.
