My books will not download anymore and the books I have on my kindle have stopped displaying the front covers. This happened around 15/05/19.
I have restarted my Kindle a few times as well as de registered and re registered it to no avail. The only way to get books onto my Kindle is to search them in the app store using the kindle and clicking on them.
Hey there @ISL: This is a very strange problem and should not ever happen. As you say you have tried the two main solutions (Resetting and Re-Registering) there is one more step you may want to try which is to follow the Home / Settings / Restore Factory Defaults option. This probably will NOT cure anything, but it is the last faultfinding tip.
If that still fails then go to any Amazon web page and click the HELP link, follow the rabbit warren of questions clicking the nearest option until you reach the CONTRACT AMAZON FOR FREE and choose the Call Me Back option - enter your phone number and they will call you as soon as you click the button.
They may be able to find some obvious / silly / strange solution or will arrange a next day remplacement delivery for your paperwhite.
They will also give you a link to print a return label for outside and inside the return box.
Wait for the replacement to arrive, put all the labels inside and outside using that packaging and I SUGGEST finding a local Postit or other return center and get a there and then return reciept.
EDIT: In the mean time you can download the FREE Kindle app for phone / tablet / pc / mac and carry on reading your books using any of those devices for free - and for free in the future too!
