Somehow all the collections I use have disappeared off my Kindle Oasis Gen9. Although they're visible on a PC/Browser/Manage Your Content, and they're visible on the Kindle App on Android device.
On my Oasis, when I select a Downloaded book , it WILL show the list of collections, with the correct Collection ticked.
But I can't get the list of Collections to appear on the Kindle. It's always greyed out after selecting the Sort option.
If I follow this procedure:
Select a Single Book option (3 vertical dots to right),
Add to Collection.
It now switches back to ALL showing the Collections. Select "Downloaded" at the top again.. Then it displays. "No collections have been added to this device. Tap All to add existing collections or tap Menu to create a new collection".
And at the bottom of the screen, it shows "9 more Collections in the Cloud".
But if I tap "ALL" - like it says above - I get a list of the possible collections for a book, so I can select which Collection to put that book in. But there's still no way I can import the Collections to the device to be able to view them.
I have de-registered and re-registered. I have done a Reset. I have turned it off an on again. But no change.
Am I missing something, or have Amazon screwed up a s/w update?
to get collections to show on the downloaded screen you need to tap & hold a collection to star it.
i leave collections in All (the cloud). Should I need to look at one it is always accessible (but then...I have 17 screens of collections and 2 screens of downloaded books). I decided a long time ago that there is no need to download huge numbers of books onto the device.
All (highlighted) | Downloaded ___ Filter = Collections ___ Sort = Title
You will have to scroll down the menu that comes up when you tap on Filter to find Collections. The, simply long press on each Collection name that isn't "starred" until a menu comes up and select Add to Downloaded and repeat for all your Collections. When you're done, switch to
