I have had a registered kindle since 2018. no problems.
over the past few months I have purchased several books.
2 weeks ago I rented a few books from my library, they opened in amazon, and i clicked read now in kindle.
When I went to my kindle, the books did not appear.
I checked to be sure my kindle is registered to amazon (via kindle settings) and it is.
however, when I go to my amazon account to manage content and devices, no device appears.
no content appears, either. (i loved that list of books and often referenced it to give suggestions and gifts to friends and family)
instead, the 3 books I have on loan appear with the option to download the kindle app.
i don't want the kindle app, i have a kindle.
a kindle that is registered to my amazon account.
where did it go?
how do i get it back?
i do not want to deregister, because I will lose the books that I recently purchased.
This is a hassle and it's frustrating.
It sounds as if you accidentally set up another Amazon account. Your purchased books are on one account and the borrowed books on another.
I suggest you speak to Customer Service as only they can look at your account.
