They use the eFamilyCloud skill and for best part of a month worked flawlessly. I set it up using the eFamilyCloud iOS app and all was fine for about a month. They worked both when requesting responses from individual devices as well as them being included in routines. Then I guess their server went down and the devices stopped working with Alexa. They still worked within their native app but not Alexa individually or in routines.
Skip to today and the server is back up and the devices work fine with Alexa when requesting individual responses but NOT in routines. I've unistalled the skill and reinstalled but no joy. When i kick off a routine all the other devices switch on (Phillips Hue etc) but the instructions for the plugs just to not work. I get no error, and alexa responds as expected.
Any ideas whats wrong here? I'm thinking about sending them back for a full refund and going with something a little more expensive.
I have the same problem and I've updated the Alexa app. I bought two sockets and set them up on Alexa and they work fine when controlled individually. However, I try and create a Routine to control them both and they aren't selectable in the list of devices even though they appear in the list when I go to Smart Home - Devices. I tried creating a Group and was able to group them together but this group is also not selectable in a Routine.
These are new so it's different in that I've never had it working like you did but I suspect if you were to remove your devices and disable the skill and then re-enable the skill and re-add your devices, they would no longer appear in the list so you wouldn't be able to setup a routine at all with them in.
No idea whether this is an Alexa problem or an eFamilyCloud issue. I will email them.
