I have the Fire Cube and an Amazon Echo Dot, along with 7 Phillips Hue bulbs around the house. For the past 3 months everything worked great. I created groups for parts of the house etc. A week ago the kitchen Hue light stopped responding, then yesterday 2 more became "unresponsive" in the Alexa app. For a while I could still turn the other lights on and off from the App itself but voice control failed. A few hours later ALL of them were marked as "unresponsive" and neither the app nor voice control now works.
I deleted one of the lights from the Alexa App (got the message that it would unpair and delete, and clicked OK). I tried then to re-discover devices and it did not find that light.
I am now stuck with 7 not so smart lights.
When I searched the issue people mentioned a firmware update for the Hue Bridge but I don't have a bridge. I use the Cube directly.
Alexa can still control the TV, Amazon Prime and Netlfix but that is a wired connection. All the bulbs are unresponsive.
I noted that the Alexa app was updated a few days ago. Wonder if that is the reason.
Any suggestions? Those were expensive bulbs (especially the California models).
