Hi, I have thousands of images synchronised between a folder on my iMac and my Amazon Drive using the odrive desktop application.
I'm considering switching to using the Amazon Drive desktop app and wondered the most efficient way to achieve this.
As all the files are present on the Amazon Drive and the local folder I was wondering what happens if I copy folders into the Amazon Drive local folder on my iMac that are already synchronised with Amazon Drive. Will the Amazon Drive desktop recognise these files are already uploaded to the Amazon Drive and create the link or what will it do, upload a second copy perhaps?
If the Amazon Drive desktop app inteligently works out the files are already in both locations there will be no need to upload or download them again which is the only other alternative I can think of.
If your Amazon Drive folder on your computer is currently empty and you copy files over, it will attempt to upload the files to Amazon Drive, which will create duplicates if those items exist in another directory on Amazon Drive.
