To select individual files and folders to download without syncing:
Open Amazon Drive for Desktop in your computer’s taskbar (PC) or menu bar (Mac), click on .
Click the Upload Icon .
Click the Downloads tab.
Click on Select folders button.
Select a destination folder.
To make a new folder, click New Folder and enter a name for the folder.
Click on Download to...
The files in your selected folder and any sub-folders begin downloading to the selected location.
Note: If you download your files to the same location, Amazon Drive for Desktop skips duplicate files found on the local disk. By downloading all files to the same location, Amazon Drive for Desktop only downloads new files/folders not located in the destination folder.
After you download the files to the desktop or external drive, you may choose to delete it from Amazon Drive.
To delete the files from Amazon Drive:
Click on the Web icon in the task bar menu of the Amazon Drive Desktop app.
Login to your Amazon Drive account.
Delete files and folders that you no longer want to store in Amazon Drive.
