Using the OSX Mac application, the player launches ok, but immediately crashes if I try and play a local track, while my Sound Output settings are set to point to an 'Aggregate Device'.
If I instead point my Sound Output Settings to a normal (USB-connected) device (which is also included in the list of outputs in the Aggregate Device), then the player works just fine.
This is 100% repeatable.
Thank you for providing this detailed information! I'll pass it along to our Amazon Music team.

Thank you Kristen.
FYI, as a comparison point: The Spotify Mac desktop app plays audio ok on the same machine, when I set my Sound Output settings to point to the same 'Aggregate Device'.
(The Aggregate Device has been defined via the 'Audio MIDI Setup' application on MacOS 10.14.3 (Mohave))
