I have a paperwhite which works fine. When I either buy a book from the Amazon website, or upload a .mobi to my kindle (via the devices email address) the book gets delivered to the device successfully; however, they don't appear anywhere on my amazon account when I click on "Manage my device and content".
I've looked through all of the different options (Books, Docs, etc) but they aren't showing anywhere,
Does anyone else have the same problem and if so, is there a fix?
one possibility: You have two accounts and your paperwhite is registered to a different one than the one you're currently logging into. After checking that the books aren't there (the send to Kindle books can only be seen when you change Books to Docs), click on Devices and see if your Paperwhite is listed there. If that's the case, log out of the website and log back in and see if your books are showing then along with your device
what email address are you using the send the mobi files to your device? It needs to be the XXXX@kindle.com address. Also, did you add the email address you're using to send them to your device to your approved addresses list? Are the books less than 50MB? Full instructions are here:
your devices will show up on all Amazon sites that you're logged into. If you're physically in the UK, all you need to do on the Amazon US site, is to log into the Your Content and Devices page (under the upper right on any amazon.com website), click on Preferences and edit the Country Settings to your UK address. You will then have the option to migrate your entire account to amazon.co.uk
