Not sure I am in the right place, but I am looking for some guidance.
We have a Prime account and also our own existing Amazon accounts, which I use for my Kindle (almost exclusively now!)
I bought a book the other day, assuming I was on my own account, only to discover it was on the joint Prime account, which my neither my Kindle, or any of my Kindle apps are connected to :(
Any advice on how I can transfer the book to my own Amazon account, or link my Kindle to the Prime account?!
Return it for a refund and buy it again on the correct account.
Return Kindle Books Go into "content and devices" which is in your account. Find the book Tick the left hand box and then the select box and then the options pop up. Select the RETURN option. DO NOT select any other option. The book will go away and you will get a refund. This will work for 14 days from ordering the book.
@Bob - your reply was more helpful. Thank you :) (possibly worth noting that the "automatic" refund is available for one or two mistaken purchases - after that Amazon turn off the facility and force you to contact their help desk, presumably to prevent serial errors/treating the shop as a lending library?)
