The amazon prime video menu is very slow to load and even slower to navigate. I have a NON android sony bravia and have tried restarting, factory settings, updates but still not working properly. Any other suggestions? Please!
The video once I have actually selected it plays well.
@Sue: Hey there - I think you are saying that your Sony Bravia TV has an Amazon Prime App "built in" and that it is not performing very quickly.
I think you may need to contact Sony, who I guess are responsible for updating their hardware and software. I do not think it has anything to do with Amazon - or rather I do not think they can force Sony to do things.
If it is unacceptable then buying the Amazon STICK which would plug into your TV and give you Amazon services direct from Amazon may be a cost effective solution?

I also have a Hisense TV and it worked fine with amazon prime video up to a couple of months ago, then the menu was getting really slow, once on a film it was ok and Netflix works 100%. I had bought 12 months access (UK) and the 12 months was up so i ditched it.
Then yesterday i got an offer of 99p for a month to come back to prime and as i needed a couple of items i joined again.
Hoping the problem with prime had gone away.
Not so, whats worse is there is a delay in pressing the button on the remote too so you end up jumping.
I do have a firestick but have loaned it out to a friend with an older TV until they save up to buy a new TV.
It isn't the TV as its working with all the built in apps and quickly, it has an amazon button on the remote and loads quickly its just the menu.
I have the same problem here on two different model Hisense TVs, both of which are current models.
Amazon has clearly updated its GUI in recent months and it isn't playing well with a number of Smart TVs. As with others, there is no issue with the TV which remains functional across Netflix, iPlayer, All 4 etc. It is only Amazon that lags, glitches and has become wholly unusable.
It's disappointing not to see a response or workaround from Amazon other than the "just pay more money to us" Fire Stick response. I had been prepared to give time and the benefit of the doubt to expect a fix. If it isn't forthcoming, my subscription will just be cancelled.
Yes it is evident that Amazon changed something in their functionality of the menu's..
As my Hisense, has also slowed to a crawl in menus...
So some on Amazon, own up to the changes, reverse them and solve the problems for ALL of us ..Your customers who pay for your service... I don't want a fire stick, I want the button marked AMAZON on my remote to work correctly again!!
