Where are the sections to answer the majority of questions previously asked on the various forums ? ? ? ?
How do I contact Amazon?
This is legal requirement under the "Consumer Contract Regulations (Information Cancellation and additional charges) Regulations. [extract below from Schedule 3]
(c)the geographical address at which the trader is established and, where available, the trader’s telephone number, fax number and e-mail address, to enable the consumer to contact the trader quickly and communicate efficiently;"
I would be happy to explain legislation to Amazon's lawyers.
What shall I do because my item has not been delivered?
Precisely because it is a shopping site they have to do so.
There does not even seem to be an easily found contact us button any more, so here is how to contact Amazon.
If anyone knows an easier way please post and tell us.
To contact Amazon use the “Contact Us” button and after selecting various drop downs you will get contact options. The option for “anything else” is “Prime and More”
If you use the "contact us" button then the option "prime and more" which is Amazon speak for anything else answer a few questions, it does not matter much which answers you give. You will then get contact options email/chat/telephone I would not use email as it is slow and you often get a generic reply. If you use chat ask for a transcript of the conversation.
Has anyone worked out what the various blue and white symbols mean against each thread?
Some have a darker blue background even if you have read them, others stay paler blue even if you have read them. Some have three dots, others are blank on the white section.
It does seem that any you have replied to have a speech bubble - I'll be able to confirm this when I've finished this comment...
Perhaps Amazon could give us an index?
It would also be helpful to show the date & time of the most recent post in a thread, rather than the date & time of the first post. ( I think someone (Lily?) already stated that.
Another suggestion for Amazon - why not pin the most important posts at the top - e.g. what to do if kindle lost or stolen - otherwise they'll get lost in the list and we'll be reliant on people using the search facility...

All I have found out is that if I hover my mouse over the dark blue with the 3 dots, I get "Mark Forum as Read". BUT only on the home page, not on the page with the threads themselves. If you click the "Mark Forum as Read" it goes pale blue and the dots vanish.
